I'm going to that game and it's really gonna suck to cheer for the Cats.

2 'gift' wins in a row is being a little greedy...isn't it? :hmm:

It would appear that in retro week the Bombers may have learned some old school values. CHEATING IS WRONG! It was truly refreshing to see truth, honesty, and justice prevail over the Bombers' evil shenanigans.

Also, who emerged as a game star? None other than former Bomber starter, now promoted to Tiger-Cat back-up, KEVIN GLENN. He sliced and diced the Bomber secondary to shreds.

I was also impressed with the way the Tiger-Cats kicked butt on the line of scrimmage. That's where games are won and lost.

I must also note the presence of various Tiger-Cat legends on sidelines, including the greatest player of all time, ANGELO MOSCA! Big #68 could dominate any o-line anywhere, any time. And, we was a pro wrestler to boot!

Next up on July 23rd the Tiger-Cats will be in Montreal. On July 24th the Bombers host Toronto. Get your tickets now!

The Tiger-Cats showed one and all that they are ready to roll over all their opponents this year. It is hard to imagine that the BC Lions could ever again beat the Tiger-Cats. Just think what things will be like once Arland Bruce gets some practice time under his belt.

It seems to me that Winnipeg and Toronto will continue their futile battle for 3rd place throughout the season. They will likely each claim some points off BC as the season wears on, perhaps enough to prevent a western cross-over team. Anyhow, the eastern playoff games will be hosted by Hamilton and Montreal.

Next up Saturday, August 8th the Tiger-Cats host Edmontown in the first of a double-header, followed by Winnipeg @ Calgary.

Image 'CATS CELEBRATE ANNIVERSARY OF CFL-NFL CHAMPIONSHIP WITH IMPRESSIVE VICTORY

August 8, 2009

Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image

On August 8, 1961 the HAMILTON TIGER-CATS defeated the Buffalo Bills 38-21 to claim the championship of CFL/NFL football. The 'Cats celebrated the 48th anniversary of this title with a convincing win over The Clowns from Edmontown.

It's true. No NFL team has had the balls to even challenge Hamilton for the title. And I frankly don't anticipate that the Pittsburgh Steelers will grow a set any time soon. In fact, all of the Toilet Bowl contenders look to be gutless wonders, IMHO. As a result, all Canadians can rejoice in the fact that the title is here and will staying here so long as it is defended by OUR TEAM!

The Tiger-Cats could have likely beaten Edmontown by 40 or 50 points. However, I doubt they took the Eskies seriously.

Next up: Sunday, August 16th the Tiger-Cats travel to Canada's armpit for a Sunday night game against the Saskatchiewan Inbreds. For a team of Hamilton's class and skill to be forced to enter such a low-class backwater as Regina is an abomination. I, thankfully, have not been to Regina in a while. I hear they paved two streets in Regina and that indoor plumbing has now been installed in over 50% of all homes. How are people reacting? Are they scared of the ceeeeeeement?

It appears they have turned the corner and are surprising a few teams.

You're the one jinxing it. Get behind the team and think Grey Cup or bust! Being happy for a playoff game is for losers. :good:
Contrary to popular belief, the most dangerous animal is not the lion or tiger or even the elephant. The most dangerous animal is a shark riding on an elephant, just trampling and eating everything they see.

If you really believe, several Nevada casinos still offer 20/1 odds on the Tiger-Cats winning the Grey Cup, but you'd better hurry. Other casinos list their odds at 18/1, 12/1 and as low as 9/2.

I've been checking out the action this week, hoping to find long odds on the Lions after their slow start, but they're still given short odds of anywhere from 3/1 to 5/1.

I'll bet everybody has been waiting for my updates to this thread. The Tiger-Cats have been growing in awesomeness as the season has progressed. I was able to bear witness to the season finale, at CanadInns Stadium on a fabulous November afternoon. (Have we ever had better weather for a November football game?)

What can be said? Kevin Glenn picked apart the Bomber D. And the Bomber O? I have but one thing to say: HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA. Too bad the Bombers don't have a QB like Kevin Glenn.

Otis Floyd was unimpressed with Coach Kelly's efforts this year. [TSN STORY]. Here's what was quoted:
Otis Floyd on TSN wrote:"The man has no class," Floyd told the newspaper. "(Kelly) made a lot of mistakes, you know what I mean? Kevin's got too much class to say it but I'm a little more on the rough side. I'm going to say what has to be said. You sit down one of your best linebackers (Barrin Simpson) in the whole league; you let go one of your best quarterbacks (Glenn) in the whole league; you let go one of your best receivers (Derick Armstrong) and this is what ya get."

Floyd went on to offer some suggestions to Kelly on what he could do on Sunday.

"Coach Kelly, you know, can get a big thing of popcorn and beer and whatever he likes to eat and watch us play next week, OK?," added Floyd.
Although, Floyd may have been misquoted. A typical Bomber season ticket-holder may have been overheard.

Image
> The Tiger-Cats were fined for celebrating in a boat. Now, I don't know why the Bombers had a boat there but if they would have let the Tiger-Cats use it they would have used Kevin Glenn to find a way to make it float to the nearest body of water and then as a unit they would have caught enough fish to feed the poor in the downtown core. It would have been a miracle of biblical proportions.
> [CBC STORY] > [TSN STORY]

Next up: Sunday, November 15th: The Tiger-Cats host the British California Lions in the eastern semi-final. That's right, those fools from BC forgot that they are on the west coast. Whatever. It gives them one more game this season.

In preparation for the playoffs, you might want to do some research on the Tiger-Cat Cheerleaders. [LINK]. If you click the link you will find out what makes them tick. A fascinating read. For example:

Image > Laura's heroes are her parents!

Image > Alexandria aspires to be a fashion boutique owner!

Image > Pigskin Pete was not there.
