I think the key thing to notice is that a lot of games have been decided by one score or less, down to the fourth quarter. The teams that have been able to finish strong to either hold on or regain the lead have won their games. No real blowouts, and even in losses, teams are playing hard and keeping it close.
Moreso this year than in previous years, every game is a matchup. Montreal seems to have gone back a little, but still a very strong team, Argo's have definitely improved and always had a strong defense, Winnipeg is revitalized with Pierce, Sask showing they they were GC contenders last year, Edmonton and Hamilton have been close in their games and shown flashes of brilliance. Although still "preseason" rusty in their first few games, all teams have also shown flashes of brilliance as well. The real test is going to be which teams manage to keep elevating their game, and which have reached their "peak potential" at this point and will start to be fall back in the standings.
The always disppointing thing is for teams who have played decent football but are losing by only a few points e.g. Hamilton, who are better than their records indicate.
