Bowl Season

Post by Rids » Sun Dec 27, 2009 1:45 pm

So anybody else in a Bowl Pick'em game? How are you doing in your picks? I had a great run last year but this year it didn't start so well. With a Clemson win tonight I'm back to .500.

Last year I had a great run. Went 27-7 overall.

This year however if this Arizona-Nebraska match up continues like this I'll drop to 8-7.

What a horrible game. The only thing worth watching was Nebraska's d-lineman Ndamukong Suh. If he had a higher profile coming into the season, I think he would have won the Heisman. He certainly deserved it IMO.

And who knew that Idaho-Bowling Green would turn out to be the best bowl of the season, at least so far?

Seeing Suh with the killer whales at SeaWorld was pretty cool. Fun loving guy!

Really enjoyed the Outback Bowl today. Auburn and Northwestern put on a show all the way to a fake FG in OT!

Nice seeing Bobby Bowden go out on a winning note... Joe Paterno should retire. I thought that it was nice seeing Pat Summerall doing the play by play in the Cotton Bowl game until it was pretty evident that he was having trouble keeping up with the speed of the plays & constantly making mistakes. One thing about Pat, though. He stil has the golden pipes (even into his 70's) & when he did make a mistake he was very smooth in correcting what he said almost effortlessly. The guy's a pro. But he was rusty no doubt after being away from the broadcast booth for a couple of years.

JoePa is only 83. He's got another decade left in him.

Does Paterno have any grandchildren coaching on his staff?

Enjoyed the OSU-Oregon Rose Bowl Game, even if it started at 05:00 am here.

But why the Sugar Bowl not shown?
